The Dam of Olkkala

Finally the spring is here in Finland, with nice warmth and sun I took my time to head out for a walk and visit the dam not so far from my home.

The dam is a really old structure, which once was part of the property of a nearby mansion. I think it still is, but it's not in active use though, and fishing is not allowed there. There's a channel built in the back, which lead water to a mill, which produced electrisity. The channel is now broken, but the flood waters of the spring reach the mill for some time now.

The building on the right is an old repair shop, abandoned for decades.
